STUDIO NOTES / YOUR PRIVACY

Privacy Policy

Your choices, the tools used here, and how to get in touch.

Last updated:

This is Yuna An Vu’s personal portfolio. I use it to share my work and explore digital analytics. You can read the portfolio and journal without accepting optional analytics or embedded reports.

1. Optional analytics

If you allow Usage analytics & session insights, the public portfolio and games load these tools through Google Tag Manager. Bubble Pop and Crystal Guard also retain their existing Google Analytics for Firebase connections, under the same analytics choice:

  • Google Analytics 4: measures visits, page views, and interactions. This can include browser and device information, approximate location, and cookie-based online identifiers.
  • Microsoft Clarity: provides heatmaps and session recordings showing how visitors interact with the site, to help improve its usability.

These optional tracking tools stay unloaded until you allow analytics. This website does not grant advertising storage, advertising user data, or personalized advertising consent. Journal search terms, email message text, and other visitor-entered text are not included in the portfolio’s custom interaction events.

For provider information, read Google’s Privacy Policy and the Microsoft Privacy Statement. Analytics cookies and provider records have their own lifetimes; the 180-day preference period below does not describe analytics data retention.

2. Your choices & browser storage

The website saves your choices in this browser’s local storage under yunadata_consent_v1 for up to 180 days. This preference record is needed to remember your decision and is not an analytics identifier. If persistent storage is unavailable, the choice applies to the current tab or page and may need to be made again.

Use Cookie settings in the page footer or studio window to change your choice at any time. Both optional categories start off. Rejecting them leaves the portfolio and journal available.

Turning analytics off updates consent, removes accessible Google Analytics and Clarity measurement cookies, and refreshes the page to unload tracking code. It does not erase data already sent to a provider. The website cannot clear cookies stored on a different domain or cookies unavailable to its scripts.

After this consent update, choices made using the old banner are requested again. Choices apply to this browser and origin, so another device, browser, cleared storage, or an expired preference will require a new choice.

3. Embedded reports & other services

The game dashboard contains an optional Google Looker Studio report. It loads only when you allow Embedded reports, separately from analytics. Loading the report sends connection information to Google and may allow Google to access its cookies. Turning this option off removes the embedded report.

You can instead follow the direct report link. That opens Google’s website, where Google’s own privacy controls apply. The three games hosted here share this site’s consent choice. Links to other websites lead to services with their own behavior and privacy information.

This portfolio is hosted at yunadata.pages.dev on Cloudflare Pages. Cloudflare also delivers this site’s images and videos. Google Fonts supplies fonts, and the fragrance scanner retrieves its live data feed from a separate GitHub repository. These services receive connection information such as IP address and browser details when delivering the selected content. The optional controls above govern analytics and embedded reports, rather than every network request.

4. Contact & your rights

If you contact me by email, I use the information you provide, such as your name and email address, to respond to your inquiry.

Where the GDPR applies, your rights may include access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection, and you can withdraw consent for optional processing. You may also complain to the relevant data protection authority. To ask about this portfolio or exercise your rights, contact Yuna An Vu at yunaanv@outlook.com.

5. Games & public leaderboards

Bubble Pop, Crystal Guard, and Spooder Solitaire use Google Firebase / Cloud Firestore for their public leaderboards. Viewing the leaderboard and voluntarily saving a score work independently of optional analytics consent.

When you submit a score, the game sends your chosen display name, score, and a timestamp to its Firebase project. Depending on the game, the entry also includes your wave, difficulty, move count, or completion time. Leaderboard entries are public, so use a nickname and avoid personal or sensitive information. Google also receives connection information needed to deliver the database service.

The games keep their existing best-score records. To ask about an entry or request its removal, email yunaanv@outlook.com with the game and display name. Choosing Reject optional does not delete a score you have submitted.

Gameplay events such as starts, levels, completions, and score-submission events are sent to analytics only after analytics is allowed and the tracking container is ready. These custom events do not include the player’s entered name. Events from before consent are not replayed later. Turning analytics off refreshes the current page and restarts a game in progress; the settings panel explains this before you save.
