ADVENTURE JOURNAL PROJECTS

Archived Project: My GitHub Pages Portfolio

The former YunaData GitHub Pages homepage, with a pastel introduction, circular portrait, navigation links and a browser-games invitation.
In this entry

YunaData has moved! My portfolio now lives at yunadata.pages.dev, and the old yunadata.github.io address redirects visitors to the new home. Before closing this chapter, I wanted to keep a little record of the website that came before it.

The old design had a soft pastel palette, a big introduction at the top, and a long scroll through my background, projects, browser games, journal and contact details. It brought the different things I was learning and building together in one place. The screenshot above and recording below preserve that version of the portfolio.

A look around the old website

The recording starts with the introduction and portrait, moves through the page’s sections, and shows the fragrance trend dashboard. It also captures the old cookie banner. That banner belongs to the archived design; I explain the current setup in my new website-owned cookie-banner tutorial.

What this portfolio brought together

This was a static website built with HTML, CSS and JavaScript and hosted on GitHub Pages. Alongside the introduction and contact links, it became a home for several ongoing projects:

  • My browser games: Crystal Guard, Bubble Pop and Spooder Solitaire, with their own visual styles, gameplay and leaderboards.
  • Analytics experiments: game events and a Looker Studio report that helped me explore what players did after opening a game.
  • The fragrance trend tracker: a Python and GitHub Actions project that turns search data into a dashboard.
  • The journal: tutorials, certificates and internship updates documenting my progress in digital analytics and SEO.

These projects continue on the new website. You can still visit the arcade, explore the fragrance dashboard, and read the full journal.

From a long scroll to a room to explore

For the next version, I wanted the portfolio itself to feel more personal and playful. The new homepage is a pastel pixel-art room: the computer opens my projects, the bookshelf opens the journal, the portrait introduces me, the controller leads to the games, and the mailbox opens the contact section.

There are a few small things to discover, too, including the day and night skies and moving clouds. The navigation dock and reading view give visitors direct ways to find the same content. Each journal entry also keeps its own page and URL.

The games retain their own aesthetics. Their covers remain fully visible, including the PLAY buttons designed into the artwork. The new room provides a different way to discover them while keeping the games themselves familiar.

A new address for the next chapter

I now upload the website files directly to Cloudflare Pages at yunadata.pages.dev. The GitHub Pages version has retired, with its old address pointing visitors onward. This archive keeps the screenshot and recording close to the story of that move.

The website’s privacy controls have moved into the site code as well. The new tutorial covers that implementation, its GTM connection, and how I check what loads after a visitor makes a choice.
